Lucas Speaks

Lucas just said his first sentence! He held his arms out and said, "I wanna hold you." It was the sweetest! What a love! He is communicating so much more and at 18 Months he is such a busy boy! What a cutie!

Oh Halle!

Just thought I would make a quick post before I forget this story. Yesterday we were walking through the neighborhood and we stopped to talk to a Mom who has two boys around Halle & Lucas's age. I asked Halle if she would like to meet the oldest boy named Ryan and she said, "I have too many friends already and I don't have enough room in my heart for more friends. I told her that God will always make room in her heart for more friends and she said, "well, he can be at the end of my list." What are we going to do with her?

Baby #3 is a Boy!

It took a couple of tries but Halle and Lucas are proud to announce that they are going to have a new brother. I don't think Lucas is able to take it all in just yet, but we are super excited and can't wait to meet Baby Benjamin!!!

Mexico!!!

Luke & decided to take a mini-vacation to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico in March. We figured it was a great chance to escape for a couple of days before Baby Benjamin arrives. The hotel and grounds were amazing! There Hotel Le Reve only has 20 rooms and is an "adults only" resort. I love kids but it was nice to be in total peace and quiet for 3 days. I love you Luke!

Baby #3

I realize our blog averages a 4 month lag and we have a huge following (approximately 2 readers including myself), however, I want to make one up to date post. We are expecting another baby in early August! We are very excited! It was a surprise but it is a joy to know our children will be so close in age. Looking back over the past couple of years I am amazed at how far we have come. Luke and I had no idea what the next 5 years had in store & it has been quite and adventure. So many changes and so much love! Here are a couple of pics from the past 5 years. I say exhausted but it is well worth it and we wouldn't trade it for the world! Can't wait to do it all again with Baby #3. Well, maybe we can wait a couple of months. :)

Lucas's 1st Birthday

We celebrated Lucas's 1st Birthday at the lakehouse. It was wonderful to spend time with the family! It was Luke's birthday also (30), so Luke wasn't at all disappointed to pass on the attention.

What a joy you have been Lucas! We love you dearly and feel so blessed to have you as our son. You love food, being outside, hugging, and crawling. You recently learned to crawl and you're doing great. Your sister is a contstant in your life and by constant we mean she is constantly loving you. :) You handle it well though my son. Our prayer is that you and your sister will be very close as you grow up together. May God be with you today and always. May He bless you as you grow into a man and may you become the person He intends for you to be. We are excited about our journey with you! We love more than you will ever know!
